Privacy Policy

1) Who we are

Our website address is: https://www.o-kra.co.uk.

O.kra respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy sets out how we collect, use and protect your personal data and tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

If you have any questions about this privacy policy or our privacy practices, please contact us in the following ways:

You have the right to make a complaint at any time to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues (www.ico.org.uk). We would, however, appreciate the chance to deal with your concerns before you approach the ICO so please contact us in the first instance.

We keep this policy under regular review and we may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. This policy was last updated on 1st July 2020.

2) What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We may collect, use and store different kinds of personal data about you as follows:

  • Identity Data including first name and last name.
  • Contact Data including telephone number, email address and a billing address.
  • Technical Data including internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and versions, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, and other technology on the devices you use to access this website.

2.1) Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

2.2) Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

2.3) Contact Forms

You may provide us with your Identity Data or Contact Data by corresponding with us by phone, and email or otherwise. This includes personal data you provide when you complete the contact form or reservation enquiry form on our website, give us feedback or contact us.

2.4) Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year

3) Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

4) Analytics

Performance cookies collect information about how visitors use our website, for instance which pages visitors go to most often, and if they get error messages from web pages. These cookies don’t collect information that identifies a visitor. All information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous. It is only used to improve how a website works.

5) How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

5.1) What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

5.2) Your right to opt out

If you have previously agreed to us using your personal information for direct marketing purposes, including our newsletter, you may change your mind at any time by contacting us at reservations@o-kra.co.uk.

5.3) Data Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the personal data we collect.

5.4) Your legal rights to your data

Under the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), you have a number of rights that you can exercise in certain circumstances. Where those circumstances are established, you may have the right to:

  • Object at any time to processing of your personal information for direct marketing;
  • Object to the continued processing of your personal information;
  • Restrict our processing of your personal information.

If you want to exercise any of these rights, or for any further enquiries, please contact reservations@o-kra.co.uk.  If you want more information about your rights under GDPR please see the Guidance from the Information Commissioners Office on Individual’s rights under the GDPR.
